What Maintenance Is Required On My System

On our routine maintenance calls, we address a wide range of tasks that keep your MistAway system working properly and provide you the best protection against pesky mosquitoes and other insect pests.
Here is some of what we do:
- Water tables in the Atlanta region can be problematic for sediment and hard water. For this reason, the first maintenance task that we do is rinsing the intake filter. The intake filter hangs inside the drum to remain protected from accidental physical damage. We clean the intake filter every time we refill your drum.
- We help prevent your nozzle tips and filters from clogging by washing your intake filter. Hard water can also be a problem for narrow nozzle tips. We may need to provide further maintenance and clean the nozzle tips so that lime buildup does not cause further clogging. By having your nozzle tips cleaned regularly, you extend the lifespan of your nozzle tips and avoid further damage to your system.
- At least once a year, we thoroughly wash out your tank. We do this to remove any bacterial growth or residue accumulation that may naturally occur in the tank. These typically occur because the natural ingredients in your pyrethrum insecticide can be interfered with or neutralized by preservatives or chlorine. By removing these residues or bacterial growth, we provide a clean environment for your system’s operation.
